Automatic Batching System
At Weighing Solutions & Instrumentation, we provide solutions for automatic batching system. Be it a new automatic batching system requirement or automating the existing manual batching system. We fulfill both the requirements. Batching is one of the major and vital part of many industries. Therefore, it plays a crucial role in maintaining both the quality and quantity of a plant’s output. In fact, batching involves taking different materials in specific quantities and mixing them together to produce a raw mix or a final product.
Automatic Batching system for Cement Plant.
Mixing Lime store, Clay, Pet coke and Iron dust in different quantities makes raw mix in cement industry. Next, this raw mix is sent to the mill for the final processing. For cement industry, Automatic batching system is very important. Here a batcher can feed the required quantities of the all the four raw materials into the system. The automatic batching system will make the batches at required interval.
Hence, the system maintains a continuous feed and ensures perfect batch quality for the mill. First, it collects the required quantities of materials in the collection hoppers. Then, the system discharges the material once the batch is ready. Next, the conveyor belt transports the material from the collection hoppers to the bucket elevator. We perform this at intervals to ensure all the materials mix thoroughly. Finally, the bucket elevator feeds the material into the master hopper.
The system is completely interlocked. Consequently, if a conveyor or bucket elevator develops a fault and stops working, the system halts until you fix it. Similarly, when the master hopper reaches its full capacity, the system stops making batches until you empty the hopper to a certain level.
The system is completely PLC based. Collection hoppers use Very high precision load cells. Digital weighing controllers connects to these load cells. These Indicators communicate with PLC and gives signals and data to the PLC to perform designated tasks.
Modifications:
The cement industry is just an example. You can adopt the same principle in any industry with minor adjustments, or completely redesign it to meet the customer’s exact requirements. Electrical induction motors or pneumatic cylinders can operate the gates of the main hoppers and the collection hopper. Any type of modification in the system is possible. Any information can be provided on the Color Touch Screen HMI which is part of the system.
The HMI displays the status of the hopper gates, conveyor, bucket elevator, master hopper. In addition, the system displays the number of batches made. Furthermore, it has both Auto and Manual modes. In Auto mode, the system continues making batches according to the settings unless the operator stops it or a stop condition occurs. On the other hand, in Manual mode, the operator can control any gate, discharge any material in any quantity, or make batches manually.
